working girl

My sincerest apologies for the lack of blogging at the end of my adventures in Italy. The Internet situation got a little rough and once I got home...I was sleepy. So if you feel as though you missed out, feel free to check out all my pictures on Facebook!
Now that I am back from frolicking in Europe, it is off to work. I am keeping on with the same job as last summer as an administrative assistant at an IT company that mostly works with companies that own and manage assisted living centers. Yeah, it's just as exciting as it sounds. Don't get me wrong I am grateful for my job, but not necessarily thrilled to go into work every day from 8:30-5:00. How come in tv shows they all have summer jobs, but get to have fun too?
I've only been here for two days this summer, so it hardly feels like time to complain, but I'm I whiner who whines, and there is nothing you can do about it.
The first day of work felt a lot like the first day of school to me. I picked out a really cute outfit the night before cause I wanted to look really good, and I was kinda nervous about seeing everyone again mostly because I hate small talk. "how was your school year?" "what have you been doing so far this summer?" "blah blah, more questions that I don't care about the answers too."
The first day of school lunch is always the scariest part because you don't want to be like Lindsay Lohan in "Mean Girls" eating in the bathroom alone. I'm pretty sure that was actually my worst fear in highschool. In work it's kind of the opposite. I mostly just really hope the I never have to sit with anyone at lunch, hence why I eat in my office while listening to music and updating my blog (you're welcome). I really don't hate everyone here it really just gets back to the whole small talk thing. eeek.
Hopefully despite my lack of doing exciting things, my mindless hours of sitting in my office with hopefully help me think up exciting things to blog about...hopefully.
