Benvenuti in Italia

Welcome to the magically beautiful Italy!! It is seriously beautiful here (and I can prove that with a lot of pictures). So here's an update of the last 2 days...
Day 1: Siena
The first place we went to visit was Siena. Despite some rainy and chilly weather, we had a wonderful day. We made heavy use of the Italian stair master, climbing up hundreds of stairs to get to the tops of towers to see amazing views, and even though I think my calves still hurt a little but it was totally worth it. We also visited the Siena Dumomo (my mum's new favorite cathedral) and ate some delicious Italian food.

Only fun thing about rain in Italy? Now I have an umberella from Italy.
All of us taking cover from the rain while Matt and Jed searched for somewhere to eat lunch.
Ok, so I just wanted to show off how good this picture looked, but this one is my sister Rochelle and her husband Matt in Siena's square.

You just can't beat a view like that!

...even if we had to walk up all these stairs to see it.

Gelato in the square. I'm obsessed.

That night the sky looked incredible, it almost made the rain worth it to be able to get pictures like this.

A delicious dinner to finish off a delicious day.

Day 2: San Gimignano
To make it a little easier on our parents, they assigned each of us kids a day to plan, and this one was mine. Although, I have unfortunalty become sick and have been running a fever for quite a bit of the day nothing can stop me from going out and experiencing Italy. My body always decides to get sick at the MOST inconvenient times. You know like Christmas, college midterms week, when I am in Italy (not cool). But like I said, nothing can stop me from an adventure like this.
Since yesterday was a packed long day, we took it easy and walked around, saw some frescoes, and enjoyed the nice weather in the squares.
Just a wonderfully picturesque town...no wonder there were so many tourists there.

Hopefully I shall continue to find time to update about my time in Italy and even more hopefully I WILL STOP BEING SICK! Ciao!

p.s. sorry for any typos. blogger has decided that I should be writing in Italian and the spell checker marks everything as wrong.
