I know its come and gone, but Happy Halloween ya little bloggies. Halloween is actually...my least favorite holiday, so welcome November!! No more me having to explain that one time I went to a haunted house in seventh grade and I had an anxiety attack and had to leave before they even started...true story. Or having people beg me to watch scary movies, me caving, them sleeping peacefully in their beds that night, and me not sleeping and flinching in fear every time someone comes with in three feet of me for the next couple days. I really wish I was kidding about how much stuff like that freaks me out, but I'm not, and it's real. Plus, who really needs all that candy anyways?
Well, I keep thinking that any of my partying days are behind me, and at the beginning of the semester I even thought to myself I am totally not going to party for Halloween this semester, I'm done with that. I partied. Who am I kidding?? This year for my various parties I was Mary Poppins for a couples blind date, a lumberjack for a party on Monday (because I already happened to be wearing plaid that day), and for the actual day I was a cat. Meow.
Above in this blur of a picture is me, my roomies, and some friends at a party on Monday night....why wasn't I studying?? This is my "lumberjack" costume. Or you know, I put on some suspenders with my plaid shirt.
I recently bought some velvet leopard print pants and they are actually now my favorite thing ever. Naturally, I decided to build my costume around them for the night, which really just means that I threw on some ears. I've never loved dressing up so even growing up I have always been animals, cause how easy it's just way too easy? (I'm a mouse. Duh.) Well, on the left is me and my fellow cat friend Taylor, and on the right is my costume in its full leopard print pants glory.
And now it is time to put away all the cob webs, skeletons, and scary movies and keep them hidden in a dark place till everyone forces all this spookiness on me again next year. But, now we get to move onto just the trifecta of awesome. My Birthday. Thanksgiving. and Christmas. So excited.
peace. love. and hauntings.
