my McCarty reunion

Family is pretty much the greatest thing ever, right? So how about my whole McCarty family all gathered on the coast of Oregon My favorite people getting together at my favorite place! Here are a shmishsmash of pictures to tell you about the trip...

I always love seeing my sisters, and now they come with extra bonuses cause they always bring along my cute nephews. I seriously could not be more obsessed with these humans.

One of my favorite places to go when we visit Oregon is the Bandon Zoo because ALL zoos should let you play with baby animals don't you think?!

And seriously? Baby foxes. Is this Heaven?!

Oh yeah and watching baby James walking up to all the animals and saying "woof woof" was probably the cutest thing I had ever seen.

This was the view that I woke up to every morning. Hi?! Ok, so maybe it wasn't actually this sunny everyday because this is the coast of Oregon we are talking about here. But, still I couldn't believe how perfect this was.

I convinced my parents to go hiking with me, and we went on a stunning hike called the Arago Pack Trail. I loved it. I can never get over how green and perfec Oregon is. I think it's now one of my dreams to hike the entire Oregon Coast Trai (so like, who wants to hike 400 miles with me...?).

I love these people, and I love this place.

AND MY BABY EDDIE EVEN GOT TO COME ALONG!

The highlight of the trip was celebrating my amazing grandmother's 90th birthday. This woman is amazing, and I am so lucky to still have her around and to be a part of her incredible family.

She sure has created an incredible family.

Love you grandma and the rest of the McCarty fam. So glad I got to spend time with everyone and celebrate the legacy that my grandma has created.

my solo drive

I know I've mentioned it before on my blog, but for some reason I just absolutely love driving.

A curvy road, late at night, windows down (better yet a convertible), perfect music, and just me in the car= perfection.

Probably one of my happiest of all happy places. Absolutely nothing can clear my mind and de-stress me like going for a solo drive.

So, the idea of taking a little solo road trip to visit my sister sounded so so perfect, and it was, and I am so happy I got to go. Don't get me wrong the drive was not the only thing that had me itching to go, you know I was psyched about the destination too (but, I'm gunna save you my usual nephew gushing...but I mean he's so cute).

Darn you high gas prices for making me wanting to just drive around forever such an expensive method of relaxation.

Maybe I should start training to be a race car driver?

I know this song is nothing new, but it has been stuck in my head and is wonderful for night driving and long trips. So, seems fitting, yeah?

peace. love. and open road.

my big sister the lawyer

This weekend I got a little change-up from my daily routine of doing pretty much nothing at my house, and drove up to Cincinnati, Ohio to see my big sister Diane graduate from University of Cincinnati Law School. It was a splendid trip since I got to see my two sisters, hang out with the family, celebrate my incredible mom for mothers day, and see my sister get hooded to mark her officially becoming Esquire Diane Kendall. I am so lucky to have a role model like my sister Diane who has it all, but has worked hard to get it. She is a brilliant example of becoming educated as possible and I couldn't possible be more proud of her. Makes me wonder where I will be by 25...maybe I'll still be blogging then so you can find out....

We toured around Cincinnati a little bit and took a visit to the Cincinnati Zoo , which was awesome by the way. And, of course we road the carousel because they are my favorite. I ran straight for the cougar since I'm missing BYU so much.

And here is me and my incredible older sisters at Diane's law school gradation.  (For those of you who have trouble figuring out who's who: Rochelle, Diane, then me :] )

peace. love. and lawyers
