my goodbye to fall

So, it looks like fall is coming to an end in Provo. It's getting a lot chillier, the trees aren't looking so colorful anymore, and the mountains are looking a little brown (and a little snowy ahh!). So here's to another perfect season. Crunchy leaves on the sidewalk, I will greatly miss you.
You know, there are places where it is always summer or always winter. Why never always fall? I think I'd really like to live there if that was a real thing. But, I guess it's best that I only get to enjoy it for a short time or maybe I wouldn't appreciate it as much.

So blessed to have such an incredibly beautiful campus!

I've been taking the long way home recently cause I just can't resist how pretty this little walkway is.

Uh huh. It's a feet pic. Soorrrry. I just love stepping on crunchy leaves so much.

It was nice having you here fall. Don't rush out the door too quickly. Winter could use to learn a little bit of patience.

peace. love. and leaves.

Oh also!!
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

my walk in the woods

Fall in Utah could not be more perfect. Actually if it lasted for more than a few weeks, that would be perfect. But, since I know that all of these stunning fall colors do not last up in those mountains for long, I made it a priority to drive around the Alpine Loop this week (it is one of my absolute favorite things). Seriously, if you live in Utah and have never done this, what is wrong with you? If you live in Utah and you have made this drive in the past, but not this year, I repeat, what is wrong with you? Anyways, here is a little taste of how perfect it was up there...

But, the drive couldn't get off as being totally uneventful. Of course my drive would not have been right without drinking way too much Diet Coke on my way up. Little did I know, this was a big mistake. I figured hey, there's a bathroom up at Cascade Springs, no worries. Wrong. Due to the lovely government shutdown going on right now, me and my desperate need to pee were greeted by this sign...

If you can't read that it says, This U.S. Department of Agriculture facility is currently closed, due to the lapse in federal government funding. The facility will reopen once Congress restores funding.
Thanks a bunches government shutdown. So, all you people who I just advised to drive the alpine loop, until the government can get its act together, maybe don't bring a large Diet Coke with you.....

Regardless I was so happy that I found the time to take this little drive up, especially right before General Conference weekend. I feel so peaceful, and happy, and like I can really think and be close to my Heavenly Father when I am out roaming in nature and enjoying all of earths just incredible creations.

But, I mean also, speaking of General Conference, learn about it, watch it, enjoy it. It really was so fantastic.

peace. love. and fall mountains.

p.s. I don't know if I am really proud of myself, or really disappointed with myself that I didn't take one selfie when I was up there??

my most wonderful time of the year

Yup, we have once again made it to the most perfect time of the year. Happy fall everyone. To celebrate, I baked myself an apple pie, and I am pretty proud of how it turned out.

I am currently lying on my bed, windows open (you know that perfect view of the mountains we talked about), listening to Bahamas, wearing a cozy sweater, and just feeling oh so happy.

Welcome to the season of brisk weather, comfy clothes, and my birthday.

I have been celebrating the ends of warm weather by studying outside all the time. This is my favorite outdoor study spot. I sometimes refer to it as my secret spot, but it's really not so secret cause it's the fourth floor of the JFSB, and I'm pretty sure most people know about it. Can't wait for the pretty colors in the mountains. The Alpine Loop is the greatest in the fall. I am down to go anytime anyone wants to.

Hilary and I said goodbye to summer by enjoying some delicious and very large snow cones. I got chased by bees multiple times while we ate, and if you'er looking for a laugh, you can ask Hils for the video.

Summer, it's been real, but it's time for us to move on.
Happy First Day of Fall.

my favorite season

Happy beginning of Autumn!! Fall is the absolute best time of year. Literally the best of everything. Here is a short list of some things that I love about fall and that I am seriously looking forward to...

-colorful trees
-perfect weather
-my birthday (duh)
-boots and sweaters
-comfort foods
-snuggling
-everything pumpkin flavored
-drives in the canyon
-return of TV shows (guilty pleasure)
-yummy smells
-football
-Thanksgiving
-fall festivities and activities
-crunchy leaves (seriously the most satisfying thing)

Well, some of these things haven't arrived quite yet, but they are on their way and I can't friggen wait.

This has nothing to do with fall, but this is my friend McCall (wait it rhymes, does that count as pertaining to fall?...anyways). Just a shout out to her for being such a good friend to me. <3
