commence the drum roll please cause I'm not kidding when I say that this news is big....
as of this week from January to April 2012 I will...BE LIVING IN PARIS!
but wait...that's NOT all folks
from May to August 2012 I will...BE LIVING IN INDIA!
seriously big news eh? so, I guess I should provide a little explanation behind it.
As for Paris, I am going on the BYU Winter Study Abroad there. I will be speaking French, strolling the streets of Paris, pretending like I am intellectually superior in art museums, and eating pastries nonstop. It's slightly insane how excited I am.
And India...many of you faithful blog readers (...cough cough, my mom) know that I have already taken two service trips to India with Rising Star Outreach working in leprosy colonies, each trip lasting 3 glorious weeks. I am absolutely in love with the organization and the work that they do, so I have recently started volunteering in their office in Provo, and was actually offered and internship there. I am now the intern over the volunteer program, and am completely thrilled to be part of such an amazing organization. I have now also been offered the position of Volunteer Coordinator in India, so I will be living there for the summer running the program and guiding the volunteers through their experience. If you or anyone that you know would be interested in volunteering in India this summer please have them contact me. I would love to chat with them about my experience and encourage them to go as well! (www.risingstaroutreach.org)
I am so stoked. My life is way too good right now. I am so blessed!!!
