my life in the past month or so...abridged

I clearly have not blogged anything in a while. But...TA DA. I changed the layout...I'm not quite sure anyone will take any note of that though, because no one actually reads this. It's all good though because I don't really provide much intensive to read it...or any sort of advertisement that it exists. Any who...here we go

The Sundance Film Festival...didn't get to see any movies, but I did get to have an awesome time: wandering around, shopping, being amused by overly indie people, but unfortunately we did not get to see any celebs. However, Hilary and I did collect posters and fliers and now have an awesomely collaged wall.

Let's get the ball rolling...in case you live under a rock and didn't here, BYU basketball is a big deal here. So much so that people have decided to start camping out in tents to get good seats at games and see "The Jimmer" in action. I am sad...or glad to admit that I, for one of the games at least, was one of those people freezing their butts off in a tent for a few days. And surprisingly enough, tent people are really nice, they gave me a pizza, invited me to watch movies, and we all hung out. Then in the end, we had fourth row seats to see the amazing Cougar Basketball team. (fingers crossed for the tournament in Vegas this weekend!)
Brigitte, Hilary, Me, and Emily in all our BYU spirited glory

Next up...NEWPORT BEACH. Prolly one of the most fun weekends ever. Since BYU clearly hates their
students (I don't really think this, don't tell the honor code office!) we have no spring break, so with one of the two long weekends granted during the long and cold winter semester me and a few girls packed in for the 10 hour drive to spend a glorious 3 days in sunny California.

California here we come. It was a small car with a lot of people, for a long time, but we of course made it fun: watching movies, playing games, divulging all our secrets...you know the uush

and it was all going great...till the car broke a little, but it was all good once we discovered the magic of duct tape...I seriously think you could put anything back together with this stuff; it maybe doesn't look great, but it sure gets the job done.

You have no idea how amazing it was to escape the cold and frolic on the beach with 4 of my best friends :) I have probably never been so excited to run around in the sand before. Pure joy right there.

But it wasn't all fun and games, we ate a lot. Seriously, a lot. And everything we ate was absolutely delicious. (Canon Center- you were not missed. Sorry)

To top the whole weekend off, we stayed at Katrine's house and got to meet some of her friends and her incredibly inviting family. The McCormick family was so sweet, made me miss my fam and being in my own house. (come on april!)

Well, if you made it all the way down here...or read even a single word of this congratulations. Let's hope that next time I update a little more frequently so that I don't have to overload ya. Enjoy the new black and whiteness of my blog (mmm artsy. huh?)
