I don't know maybe sometimes it gets to Thursday and I have totally forgotten to blog all week. Guess this is just proof of how incredibly busy I've been. I had a don't stop moving weekend followed by a don't stop moving week. But, something wonderful happened this week and The Head and the Heart came out with a new album, so listen to it. Here, I'll make it easy for you...
The title of this album is Let's Be Still. Seeing as I haven't even spent 20 minutes to sit down and write a blog post, I think this is something I could focus on more. I spend way too much of my time "being busy." Back when I was studying abroad in Paris (and the words busy meant nothing to me cause all I did was wander the streets, eat pastries, and love every second of my life), I was exploring a Morisot exhibit and this quote was printed on the wall:

People are busy, people are fidgety, does no one understand that there is nothing more precious than two hours stretched on a chaise-lounge? Dreaming is the stuff of life--and dreams are more real than reality.
-Berth Morisot
I thought this was so beautiful. How true is it that we run around frantically, reject opportunities for joy, and ignore the chance we have for peaceful moments because we are "busy?" So, my goal for the next little while is to find time to be still and enjoy the stuff of life. It's ok to waste time. Life is about being happy and finding joy, not pushing yourself till you think you might fall apart.
So, let's not be busy. Let's be still.
peace. love. and stillness.
