It was so exciting to have my mom and sister at Rising Star. All the kids were excited to meet my family and excited to see my sister Rochelle again, who they had made such good ties with when she was here as a coordinator a few summers ago. I loved getting to share what an incredible summer I am having with my mom and sister. This place is so perfect. Everyone should come here shouldn't they?
We both love these kids so much!! Rochelle is here with Theerthi and I am with Anadahvel. Sweet little Anandahvel asked me what my dad's name was one day and now whenever I am snuggling with him (which is pretty often) he will look up and say "You're dad's name, is Mark." It's actually one of the most adorable things ever.
I hate to make my blog sound like an advertisement for sponsoring a child, but if you have ever thought about it, or are hearing about sponsoring a Rising Star student just now and are interested check out the Rising Star website (www.risingstaroutreach.org) or shoot me a message and I can tell you all about it. These kids are incredible (this may sound weird, but if you are interested I would even help ya pick one out.)
Can't wait to get my first letter from this cutie.
Torn apart that I am going to be leaving this place so soon. My next blog post may be from America. Can you believe that? Six months already. I'm sick about it, but I will for sure be enjoying my last few days here. I just can't enough of these kids.
peace. love. and little M.

The children were actually devestated when they heard that Rochelle and my mom left. Clearly they were in love.
My incredible mom hanging out with little Nivetha. Even the house mothers and other volunteers were sad when these gals left. And of course, I was too.
I get to see my momma and my other sister Diane next week which will be wonderful and terrible. Wonderful because, well I will be hanging with the fam, but terrible because it means that this Saturday I will be leaving the happiest place on earth. Yeah, Rising Star beats Disney World for happiest place on earth. I'll claim it for forever and ever only cause it's true.
But, I am SO SO excited to announce that there is one little boy who I know I will be in constant contact with for at least the next 6 years. I have been looking at the sponsorship board all summer thinking that it would be nice to sponsor another child, but on my mom's last night here I noticed that my sweet Vishva (or little M. as I call him) still needed another sponsor. I seriously was on fire as I noticed that and knew that my family needed to sponsor him. I asked my mum and I think that after she had seen me with all these perfect little boys this week she could tell that I needed this. Now that I am sponsoring him we are only more obsessed with each other, but I mean look at what a doll he is. Wouldn't you be obsessed with him?
